Britt Machado

Ever since she painted her childhood bathroom bright orange, Britt has been enthusiastic about interior design. Her past life includes research & teaching at university, after which she worked in entertainment producing films, television, podcasts, and developing digital products for companies like Warner Bros. and the Sundance Institute. After years running legal and talent negotiations in sports media, she is happy to be creatively working with clients to create spaces they love to call home. As a URI Master Gardener, Britt will always incorporate plant life into her designs. When she's not working, she's on an adventure with her little dog Roxie, making food & cocktails, or practicing yoga.

Clare Guckenberger

As a designer, Clare comes with a deep understanding of people and their needs. She comes from Industrial design background and has worked in Design Strategy and UX/UI Design prior to JohnnyCakes. She loves solving real problems, whether it's crafting the perfect custom piece for your space or increasing efficiency in the flow throughout your home or even designing a seamless website experience. She thrives on turning big ideas into beautifully designed realities.

When she's not dreaming up something for JohnnyCakes, Clare is traveling or working on a craft project -- just ask her about her miniatures collection!

Nathan Campos

As a Rhode Island School of Design graduate with a background in textiles, Nathaniel is passionate about thoughtfully curated interiors and the objects that make a house feel like home. Combining a designer's eye with a love of connecting with people, he enjoys helping customers find pieces that reflect their personal style, whether it's a meaningful gift or a statement for their living space. Outside the shop, Nathaniel maintains a studio practice in hand weaving and machine knitting, creating textiles for interiors and apparel while continuing to explore the relationship between craft, design, and everyday living.

Joe Marchesi

Even though his background is in Computer Science, Joe tends not to stay in any particular box when it comes to his interests and projects. Running a small business for over a decade taught him so much about how to create strong and cohesive product images and marketing campaigns. As a kid, he would tackle the aisles of homegoods with his mom, giving her decor advice for the house. It seemed for that admiration and eye for interiors and design only grew stronger with age. Joe spends his free time on his destructive fine art practice and stained glass creations.
