Gorgeous set of five Jacobean Revival oak dining side chair. These solid wood chairs are early 20th century and feature a carved beautiful repeating pattern of flowers and swirls and lines, all in a beautiful dark stain. While they are unmarked, these are likely from Kensington
Furniture company, early 20th century.

There is a homemade tag on the bottom of one (remnants on all the others) that reads "one of six chairs belonging to Mrs. S.W. Corman, 9 Rittenhouse Rd." Corman was in advertising who turned to development. In 1928 he and wife Anna M. Corman moved into the newly completed house at 9 Rittenhouse Road. The house was constructed as part of the Corwood development abutting the Siwanoy Country Club and west of the downtown of Bronxville, NY. Corwood was a project of the Corlando Corporation, which had S. Wilbur Corman as its president.

Dimensions: H 38" x W 21.75" x D 18.25" x SH 17"

In good vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use. Minor scuffs in areas and wear to finish on edges. Some chips near spindle on the top of one chair and a one of the legs was previously repaired.
