This Petal Chair (c. 1980s) is an important part of design history and we are so excited to have one (I'm thinking about keeping it, change my mind).
Designed by iconic Filipino interior designer Ched Berenguer-Topacio, it's design cousin the Petal Chaise won the 1987 Roscoe Award. What do we love about it besides the fact the lines of this piece are super hot? We love that it's essentially a simple folding chair. We love that the heavy stainless steel has been bent and smoothed into luscious curves. We love that traditional rattan weaving contrasts so impactfully with the heavy steel. We love that it's both form and function, both modern and traditional.
Dimensions: 24.5"W x 34"D x 32.5"H
In excellent vintage condition with no obvious breaks in the rattan.
